Privacy, plainly

Local secrets, explained honestly.

Last updated September 19, 2026

Passwords, passphrases, PINs, and strength-checker input are generated or evaluated by code running in your browser. The application does not intentionally submit those secret values to RhinoPassword servers.

Hosting and ordinary request logs

Loading any website requires network requests. The hosting infrastructure may process ordinary technical information such as IP address, user agent, requested path, referrer, timestamps, and error or security logs. Do not put a secret in the page URL. Links to other sites—including cited sources and Lumos Technologies—cause your browser to contact those sites under their own policies.

Google Fonts

The page loads font styles from fonts.googleapis.com and font files supplied by Google. When your browser requests those assets, Google may receive technical request data such as your IP address, browser information, referrer, and request time. Google handles that information under its own privacy terms.

Generation and temporary memory

Random values come from the browser’s crypto.getRandomValues API and exist in page memory while you use the tool. This site does not offer an account or server-side password history. Browser extensions, device monitoring software, screenshots, backups, or a compromised device are outside the application’s control.

Clipboard

Choosing Copy writes the result to your system clipboard. Your operating system, clipboard history, synced devices, extensions, and other applications may retain or read clipboard contents. Paste promptly into a trusted password manager and clear clipboard history when appropriate.

Preferences

The theme choice is stored in browser local storage under rhinopassword-theme. It records light, dark, or system—not generated secrets. Your browser may separately retain normal cache and history data.

Advertising and future changes

No advertising is active on the site at the date above, and the application does not currently set advertising cookies. If advertising or consent-requiring measurement is introduced, this notice will identify the providers and purposes, and appropriate consent controls will be presented before non-essential storage or access where required.
